From wire rod to the nail in your hand
Ironwill Steel draws the wire, forms the nail, twists the barbed wire and bends the stirrup, all at Sirigampola. Sold through TNR dealers in every district.
What we make
- Wire nails, 1 to 6 inch, 14G to 5G, in 25 kg bags.
- Barbed wire, hot-dip galvanised, 3 to 4 inch barb spacing, 10 to 25 kg rolls.
- Steel stirrups, 6 / 6.5 mm bar, 6 × 6, 6 × 9 and 9 × 9 inch standard or to your bar schedule.
How a nail is made
Mild-steel wire rod is drawn through dies until it is the right gauge. The nail machine grips the wire, strikes the head with the TNR mark, cuts the diamond point and drops the nail. The nails are tumbled in a polishing drum, weighed and bagged.
Pick the right size
Use the nail size guide to match length and gauge to the job, then the calculator to estimate bags, rolls or stirrups.
